Osvaldo Fresedo was born in Buenos Aires on May 05, 1897 .

It was called: "el Pibe of Paternal", the kid of paternal to differentiate it from the nickname of Pedro Maffia who was "El Pibe de Flores".

It learned the first rudiments from the music with his mother who was a piano teacher.
