Ricardo Tanturi, called, "El Caballero LED tango", were born on January 27, 1905 in Buenos Aires.
It studied, initially, the violin with Federico Alessio. His/her brother, Antonio, will convince it to give up the violin for the piano.
In 1924, it starts to play with his brother in the radio main road, Belgrano, and in balls of charity. These musical activities do not prevent it from making a success of its studies of medicine with the best notes.
In the Thirties, its orchestra names "los indios" written by Francisco Canaro which will be the title of the tango of opening of each representation.
Ricardo Tanturi knows a great radiation since 1939 when it incorporates in the orchestra the singer Alberto
Castillo for whom each tango is a true piece of life in oneself to interpret.
In 1943, at the beginning of Castillo, it engages the young singer uruguyen, Enrique Campos which is the only one not to copy the style of Roberto Castillo; it does not need any. In 1945, it engages also the singer Roberto Videla. The period "Castillo-Campos" forms part of the hours of glory of the singers and the poets who approach, then, of the tango.
In the Forties, Ricardo Tanturi forms part of the leaders who direct themselves towards the modernism by giving up the rate/rhythm balanced and monotonous to give more speed to interpretations. These leaders give to the arranger an important place and the orchestra becomes the meeting of individualities where them talent can be expressed.
It dies out on January 24, 1973.
